Some of you may know, I am part of the Lloyds TSB Wealth Management team to compete in the Microsoft UK Challenge, competing in the event from 10th to 13th June 2009.
The Microsoft UK Challenge is a high-profile adventure race/challenge that takes place in June every year. It is the biggest corporate competition in Europe and the second largest source of corporate fundraising in the country after the London Marathon. For four days and nights, we will be tasked with overcoming the course, the terrain and 125 other teams as we race against the clock. We'll be running, kayaking and mountain biking our way across the Welsh countryside whilst having to think logically, crack codes and solve puzzles.
A vital part of entering the competition is raising money for charity; in 2008 the event raised a massive £600,000 for its official charity, the NSPCC. We are therefore extremely focused on fundraising as well as training - Lloyds TSB will make a sizeable donation towards the total amount we raise. Our team is targeted to raise £15,000 towards the Lloyds TSB total.
I am sure you will agree the NSPCC is a hugely worthy charity which does incredible work to stop cruelty to children, and 90% of their funds are raised from donations.
I hope you will be able to help our fund raising efforts and sponsor me and the Team, using the link below. It’s really important to give every child a chance so I would be very grateful of your support.
